Tomorrow’s Yesterday
I had been thinking about the concept of “Tomorrow’s Yesterday” for months before I wrote this poem. I was fixated on the concept of the three-word combination we use to represent specific blocks of time in our lives: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow — and how they transform into one another as time progresses.
In reality, our Yesterday was recently our Today,
our Today will soon be our Yesterday,
and we take for granted that our Tomorrow will inevitably be both …
