I just got back from a wake this afternoon and this poem was framed next to the guest book. I wish I had known of it when my father passed away last year. I love the words and feel that it says all the things I want to tell people everyday. Thank you so much for sharing that poem with us.

I read this poem at the Mercy Meal for my father on September 11 th. It has been an inspiration to so many people at that dinner as well as myself and my three daughters. We had never heard it until my cousin brought it with her from Los Angeles so I could read it to everyone. I have bought the book for all of my daughters. Thank you for this insight!!!

How can I get permission to read this poem (The Dash) at a funeral? I just became aware of its copyright nature.

the first time i heard THE DASH was last week at my son’s funeral. it was read by the funeral driector. it was the most beautiful thing i have ever heard. brought so much peace, you see my son died of a durg overdose but he was a wonderful person. friend to everyone. helped those that needed food, cigarettes, a plase to stay, or a ride to work. he was always willing to give even when he didnt have much. friends he had many, most since elementry school.

Do you have chinese version of this in traditional character? If so, where can we show it to our chinese congregation? If no, is it ok if we translate it? Thanks and God bless

We are missionaries living in the Philippines. If I ordered The Dash set would you be able to mail it to me in the Philippines? I love it and have read the book from a friend.
