The word “here” by definition, includes these meanings:
- in or at this place;
- at this time; now
As you can see, the word, whose definition most often is referring to one’s current location, also includes the concept of now…this moment…this time.
Though we may be separated by great distances, hence, you are there while I am here, physically and relating to our relative positions on earth, if you consider the latter definition, then we are both “here” simultaneously… Read more
Invitations
We all receive invitations as the years roll on, requesting our presence at various events and functions. Most will ask for a timely response so that our host can plan their event accordingly. Basically, we have the option of checking “yes” to indicate that we plan to mark it on our calendar or “no” if we have a previously scheduled commitment, or simply have chosen not to participate for one reason or another.
